A paid add-on, switched on per company by SmartChoice. One Entra app registration lets SmartTile's agent read Microsoft Graph every hour: Teams devices and their health, call records, PSTN usage and spend, call quality, Teams Phone users and usage analytics — plus threshold rules your admins build themselves.
Teams calling lives in the Teams admin center, not on the NOC's screen — so a dead room panel, a run of dropped calls or a spike in international PSTN minutes is noticed late. SmartTile reads the tenant through Microsoft Graph with read-only application permissions, stores it per company, and lets the customer set their own thresholds. Paid add-on: a SmartChoice super admin enables it per company. BETA: running on SmartChoice's own tenant; each customer's first connection is proven with Test connection.
Rooms, panels, phones and displays: model, serial, signed-in account, health, connection, Teams and firmware versions, peripherals. Offline, online, health changed, new and removed events per sync.
Call records rolled up per day and per user — calls, minutes, failed calls (only where sessions were checked) — and PSTN legs with destination, number and charge.
Per call leg: packet loss each way, jitter, round trip, wired or Wi-Fi, local and public IP, mic and speaker. A leg is poor above 1% loss, 30 ms jitter or 300 ms round trip.
Users with Phone System or a calling plan and their numbers. With the optional permissions: per-user last activity, calls, meetings, chats and clients used, and meetings with join / leave.
12 metrics — device offline or inactive, user inactive, packet loss, failed-call rate, dropped calls, after-hours, international and unknown PSTN, PSTN spend, call-volume spike, meeting drop — 6 starter templates and a 7-day dry run.
A rule fires e-mail, a ticket in your ITSM system and/or an alert, once per rule per window with every match grouped, and at most 20 events per company per hour. Every rule starts switched off.

One connection belongs to one company; every device, call, user, meeting and rule row carries its company and every read is filtered by it.
Without the add-on every write, test and sync answers Paid add-on and the hourly sync skips the company. Only a SmartChoice super admin can grant it; every grant is logged.
Company admins, resellers and super admins; users and viewers are refused. Connection and switch changes are written to the transaction log.
A failed or empty device read yields no events; after a restart the first sync only records inventory — no event, no ticket, no rule fires.
Test any rule against the last 7 days — nothing is written or sent — before switching it on.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Where do tickets go? | Through the company's ticket routing to its ITSM system — Kaseya (Autotask, BMS), Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Rev.io, HaloPSA, ConnectWise PSA, Zendesk, NinjaOne, ManageEngine, Ivanti, Freshdesk. |
| Are Teams devices SmartTile devices? | Not yet — they live on the Teams card (Devices, Calls, Call quality, Phone users, Events, Analytics, Rules) and are checked hourly, not every minute. |
